Daniel Gershen

A member of the program since its inception in 2008, Coach Gershen spent four seasons on the diamond for the Rangers. He set, and still holds, the program's single season and career home run records. Following his first stint in coaching as an assistant in 2013, Daniel took the HC reigns from Brenton in 2014, leading the program to its first appearance in the Virginia Final Four and a third place finish in the 2015 Mid-Atlantic Regional. Coach Gershen replaced current Virginia Legion Baseball Chairman Jim Grenier as the program's General Manager in 2016 upon Coach Peters return to the Rangers. Coach Gershen still serves as the Rangers GM, taking the lead on program operations and recruiting. Daniel is a graduate of Heritage High School and Alumni of Louisiana State University where he studied Political Science, History, and Human Resources Education. Coach Gershen currently works for ServiceNow supporting their Federal Civilian Practice.

bRENTON PETERS

A graduate of Cornell University, Coach Peters played four years in the Ivy League. During his time at Cornell, Brenton served as team captain helping lead the team to a program record for single season wins (31) and its first Ivy League Championship (2012). He was selected as a College Baseball 360 Primetime Performer, achieving All-Ivy League Honorable Mention Selections both in his Junior and Senior year. He ended his career leading his class in all major offensive categories, finishing with 140 Games Played, 127 Hits, 77 runs, 25 doubles, six triples, four home runs, 49 RBIs, 66 walks and 15 stolen bases.

Upon Graduation, he returned home to serve as the Head Coach of the Rangers. His first summer with the team he led them to the program’s first ever appearance in the District Championship. After a brief hiatus from coaching to pursue his career, he returned as Head Coach of the Rangers once again, leading them to a 2016 Mid-Atlantic Regional Title and a berth into the American Legion World Series hosted on ESPNU.

Brandall peters

One of the all-time Ranger greats, Brandall coaches outfielders and serves as Brenton's second-in-command as an offensive specialist. A recent Graduate of Pfeiffer University, Brandall was a member of the Academic All-Conference team, helping lead the Pfeiffer Eagles to defeat the No.1 ranked team in the country for Div. 2 College Baseball. Brandall currently works in the IT Defense Community.

kris pratt

A household name in Leesburg baseball, Coach Pratt played for the Rangers from 2010 to 2012. Kris is an All-District Baseball honored alumnus of Loudoun County High and studied Political Science at Christopher Newport University. Kris joined the Rangers staff in 2016 as a pitching coach. This season Coach Pratt will lead the Leesburg bullpen as Head Pitching Coach for a third year. Kris is a JV Baseball Assistant at Briar Woods High School and teaches Special Education in the LCPS system.

forrest walker

A graduate of Heritage High, Coach Walker joined the Marines Corps in 2011 at 18 years-old. Earning the rank of Corporal in 2016, he served as an Infantryman in Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, for 5 and 1/2 years. He deployed in May 2015 to the Middle East and Djibouti as a part of Operation Inherent Resolve. Forrest serves the Rangers as the program's strength and conditioning coach. Coach Walker attends Wesleyan University, as a member of the esteemed veterans' "Posse Program," where he double majors in Computer Science and Studio Art.
